Redemption

I know I promised I wouldn't watch or care about the women's nation team of the US till the team was cleared of the punks.

I was watching the Brasilian women's team, they just happened to be outplaying the US team once again. Hope Solo, remember her, kicked off of the team for talking, she won gold this week for the women's national team. Seems the Brasilian ladies outplayed the US ladies, and a certain keeper won the game in OT for the Americans.

Making several key saves and stops, in a pressure packed Olympic gold medal game. Vasco feels that vindication is hers. Greg and Abby and Kristine, I hope your plate of crow was seasoned tasty for you.

The Brasilian ladies have now finished second in the last three tournaments, two Olympics and one world cup. I have to think they are frustrated. I do know one member of past teams, and I know they feel they are on the cusp of winning. OT in two of those tournaments outplaying the Americans, only to lose. Might be time for the Federation to start kicking up some cash to get these ladies playing over the next three years. Even if it is only in the WPS. Might help spice up the league.

As for the Americans they will still have this hanging over them till at least after the next world cup, Especially when Hope leads her WPS team to a championship, Hopefully Greg Ryan will never resurface anywhere in the US ever again. At least not near my route one. US soccer is US soccer so I assume he will, and we wonder why the men's team can't go anywhere. We are left to say at least we aren't Canada.

Let's Hope that the women's team lives by the motto, at least we got Hope going forward. They owe her big time for not telling them to stick it up their A**, and go play in Sweden.

Yes it was a Brasilian, Pretinha. Washington Freedom won that first game 1-0 over the Bay Area Cyberrays. Bay area went on to win the first championship and then changed their name to San Jose. The Goal was scored on a PK.
