I found this tonight. This article is written on the men's national team website by the executive director of the Men's national team players association. It provides some information that could be considered insider. Although a lot of it is already known by Vasco, because of his work in soccer. So it is tough for me to know what is insider and what is not. Mark has had a interesting relationship with the Fed negotiating contracts for the players. Do you really think Solo's WNT career is over? Who could they possibly put in goal that would give them a chance to win the Olympic gold? Scurry? We saw how that turned out. Barnhart? I just don't get how they can play knowing that they don't have all their best players on the pitch, Solo is clearly the best 'keeper. You would think as professionals they would be able to put all of this nonsense behind them...at least for 90 minutes.
Personally, I don't care if my teammate is the biggest A-hole I've ever met; if she is the best in the country at her position, I want her on the pitch with me.
